LG21: Ian Shaw from m-tec
It’s been fantastic working with Lime Green as they have grown and developed the business. At m-tec we create bespoke solutions for customers that give them the competitive edge, making them more efficient, strengthening their health and safety, sustainability and increasing their flexibility when it comes to production processes.
We’ve been involved with Lime Green for a number of years. When they outgrew their previous site, we worked closely with the team to plan a phased redevelopment starting with the new building, the very nerve centre of operations housing the control room, laboratory, storage silos, hoppers, mixers and packing line.
In the latest phase, the mixers and the packing line have been upgraded.
A new mixer for small orders of approx. 2-7 bags has been installed, great for samples and for those occasions where you need extra bags to finish the job.
Both the existing large mixer and the new, small orders one, replicate each other in terms of mixing action and thoroughness of the blending. So the product produced by both machines is exactly the same.
An automatic fibre feeder has also been installed, many of Lime Green’s products contain fibres (just like historic plasters) and this doses them without any fuss. This machine will feed natural plant-based fibres, carding/teasing them out loose before weighing them into the main mixer.
Happy anniversary Lime Green and we look forward to seeing how the business develops over the next 21 years.
